AURORA, Ill. – The CUW men's golf team competed in the final round of the NACC Championships hosted by MSOE at Stonebridge Country Club.

The Falcons finished in eighth place with a final score through four rounds of 1,323 strokes.

Aurora claimed the top spot with a total of 1,182 strokes.

Junior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) was the only other Falcon to qualify for the overall tournament individual scoring because of playing in all four rounds. Sherman sunk his first hole-in-one in competition on his 17th hole this afternoon which led him toward an 84-shot performance. Sherman finished with a total of 344 strokes over the four rounds and finished in 36th place.

Freshman Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) finished third for the Falcon team with an 84-shot round. Murgas-Bennett was a replacement for a teammate from back in rounds one and two in October so he did not qualify for an individual placement.
