MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's tennis team was able to get a match in this afternoon after the courts dried off. The Falcons bounced Lakeland with an 8-1 victory to improve to 6-8 and stay on top of the NACC at 3-0.
The first point of the day came from a forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
Junior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and freshman Izak Roscher (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) brought out the brooms on court two at 8-0.
Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) reeled in the Muskies at No. 1 doubles at 8-5.
Sophomore Nathan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) won by forfeit at No. 6 singles.
Joshua Klement did not lose a point in a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Luke Roe at No. 4 singles.
Peter Naylor also swept Ben Busalacchi at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Tim Peters picked apart Nick Larson at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) defeated Jacob Larson at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Marian match that was scheduled for this morning has not been rescheduled. The Falcons are scheduled to take on St. Norbert on Saturday.
