No. 16 Softball Splits at No. 17 MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – In a battle of two top-20 teams, the Falcons and Raiders took a game apiece on Saturday night. The Falcons took game one to start the day with a 4-1 victory and the Raiders rallied with a 1-0 victory in game two.

The Falcons scored early in game one when freshman Megan Bloyer (Oregon, Wis.) was walked with the bases load to score senior Taylor Kuske (Kaukauna, Wis.).

In the fourth inning, senior Kelsey Bollon (Orangeville, Ill.) singled to left field to send in Taylor Kuske and junior Sydney Erdmann (Geneva, Ill.).

Freshman Jess Pozezinski (Lake Villa, Ill.) scored an insurance run in the seventh inning off the bat of Megan Bloyer.

Senior Gina Followell (Romeoville, Ill.) showed again why she is one of the best in the nation with 11 strikeouts in the victory.

Kelsey Bollon led the flock with two hits and two RBI in the victory.

Senior Nicki Becker (Brodhead, Wis.) picked up her first loss of the year in game two with only one run against. She finished the evening with six strikeouts and no walks.

The Falcons return home on Sunday to face the Regents of Rockford.
