JANESVILLE, Wis. - The CUW men's golf team opened up their Fall season with the Edgewood Fall Classic.
Senior Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.) led the Falcons with a 23rd-place finish and a score of 77 strokes.
In second for the Blue and White was sophomore Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) with a day score of 81 strokes. He finished in 51st place in the tournament.
Freshman Cole Shane (Park Ridge, Ill.) took team third with a score of 82 strokes and a 59th-place finish.
Another freshman Francisco Ascenio Beltra (Ibi, Spain) took team fourth with a score of 88 strokes and a 99th place finish.
Rounding out the Falcon team was sophomore Jason Michalski (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) with a score of 100 strokes and a 113th-place finish.
The Falcons continue the weekend tournament on Saturday.
