Acrobatics and Tumbling Falls to Augustana

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The CUW acrobatics and tumbling team were defeated in their final spring break matchup with Augustana University in South Dakota. The Falcons finished with a season-high 243.030 points. 

The Blue and White recorded a season-high 34.35 points in the compulsory event with 9.70 points in the pyramid heat and 9.85 points in the toss heat. CUW had a season-high score in all four heats. 

They followed that up with 22.35 points in the acro event.

Their 28.20 points in the pyramid event saw a 9.75-point score in the open heat.

The Falcons score 27.15 points in the toss event and 45.350 in the tumbling event which saw top scores of 9.55 points in the first heat of the toss event and 8.800 points in the open pass of the tumbling event with junior Paityn Taormina (Geneva, Ill.).

The flock finished the competition off with an 85.63-point team event.

The Falcons move to 2-4 on the season and look to end on a high note with their final regular-season matchup at home against Trine on March 26.
