Falcons Record Lowest Round of the Season on Sunday

HARTLAND, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team recorded its lowest round of the fall season on Sunday. The Falcons finished with 316 strokes on Sunday to finish the two-day Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invitational in 10th place at 643 strokes. The Firebirds of Carthage won with 587 strokes.

The 643 strokes are the lowest weekend total for the Falcons.

Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) finished in 27th place at 155 strokes. He shaved three strokes from Saturday with a round of 76 on Sunday.

Freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) improved six shots from Saturday with a round of 76 strokes on Sunday to finish in 35th place with 158 strokes.

In 44th place was freshman Dylan Smith (Amhurst, Wis.). After a Saturday round of 82 strokes, he notched a round of 80 strokes for a weekend total of 162 strokes.

Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) recorded his second-straight round of 84 strokes and finished in 60th place at 168 strokes.

Freshman Tyler Klett (Paw Paw, Mich.) walked to the clubhouse with a round of 84 strokes, improving three strokes from Saturday, and finished in 65th place.

The Falcons will look to keep the momentum rolling on Thursday at the Match Play at the Chalet in Glarus, Wisconsin.
