Men's Golf Tied For 6th After Day One of NACC Championships

KOHLER, Wis. - The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team completed the first day of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Saturday. This year's conference tournament is being held at Blackwolf Run. After the first set of 18 holes, the Falcons are tied with Wisconsin Lutheran for 6th with 323 strokes.
 
Freshman Jack MacGillis (Plymouth, Wis.) shot five over par on day one. MacGillis made three birdies in the opening round and is currently tied for 10th (77).
 
Only two shots behind him is sophomore Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.). Smith shot 79, earning a share of 19th. The sophomore also made an eagle on the 11th hole; he was one of two players to do so.
 
Junior Isaac Seidel (Wausau, Wis.) sits in t-26th at +10 (82). Seidel scored back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes. Freshman Grant Hamm is +13 (85) to tie for 37th.
 
Rounding out the Falcons' lineup are sophomores Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) and Tyler Klett (Paw Paw, Mich.). Baldus is tied for 43rd at +14 (86), with Klett at +19 (91) for a share of 55th.
 
Round two is slated to begin at 10 a.m. with the Falcons teeing off at 11:58 a.m.
