MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country team posted a second-place finish at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday afternoon at the CUW Cross Country Course. The Falcons finished with 51 points. The Green Knights of St. Norbert won the team title with 28 points.
Junior Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) was the state champion with a winning time of 25:43.2, for the best time in his career.
Sophomore Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) earned First Team All-State honors in fourth place at 26:50.3.
Senior Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) landed in 12th place at 27:56.9 to team second-team honors.
Junior Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) ended in 17th place at 28:53.9 on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) also landed on the All-State Second Team in 21st place at 29:19.8.
Freshman Gabriel Baker (Stockton, Calif.) brought in a time of 31:20.0 in 35th place.
In 38th place was junior Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) at 31:25.6.
Sophomore Eric Krause (Jackson, Wis.) collected 40th-place honor on the day at 31:41.4.
Freshman Jackson Huebner (Watertown, Wis.) clocked in at 33:02.8 in 44th place.
Freshman Aidan Jacobs (Algonquin, Ill.) ended the day in 57th place at 40:07.9 in his collegiate premier.
The Falcons return to action at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships on Nov. 1 at the Shorewood Cross Country Course in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
