COLFAX, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country team competed at the loaded Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Friday morning. The race was moved up to the morning due to the temperature. The Falcons posted a solid showing against the best of the best in the Midwest in 19th place at 580 points. Wisconsin-Platteville led the 34-team field at 104 points.
Junior Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) led the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference runners in 24th place with a career-best time of 25:45.5.
Sophomore Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) was in the top 100 in 95th place at 26:47.4, the fastest time of his career.
Senior Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) clocked in at 28:00.4 in 176th place.
In 214th place was junior Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) at 28:45.4.
Freshman Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) recorded a time of 30:11.7 to finish in 256th place.
Freshman Carter Bonlender (Eldorado, Wis.) finished right behind in 259th place at 30:16.6.
Sophomore Eric Krause (Jackson, Wis.) ran the fastest time of his career and clocked in at 31:19.9 in 283rd place.
Junior Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) crossed the finish line at 31:36.7 in 287th place.
Freshman Jackson Huebner (Watertown, Wis.) finished in 289th place with a career-best time at 31:56.2.
The Falcons return to the shores of Lake Michigan on Oct. 18 at the Wisconsin Private College Championship hosted by Concordia Wisconsin.
