Falcons Finish Fourth; Lubner Claims NACC Crown

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country team competed at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday. The Falcons finished in fourth place as a team with 95 points. The Raiders of MSOE defended their crown in first place at 32 points.

Junior Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) was the conference champion in the 8000-meter race on Saturday as he crossed the finish at 25:35.9, ahead of Karan Shetty of Benedictine in second place at 25:42.3. Lubner's victory marked the sixth individual title for a CUW men's runner. The last was Timmy Brey in 2023.

Sophomore Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) secured All-Conference honors as well in ninth place at 26:27.4.

Senior Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) landed in 24th place at 27:42.7.

In 32nd place was junior Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) at 28:14.4.

Freshman Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) ran a time of 29:47.0 and finished in 54th place.

Freshman Gabriel Baker (Stockton, Calif.) brought in a time of 30:22.0 in 64th place.

The Falcons were represented in 70th through 72nd place on Saturday with sophomore Eric Krause (Jackson, Wis.) at 30:34.2, junior Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) at 30:46.9 and freshman Carter Bonlender (Eldorado, Wis.) at 30:54.0.

Freshman Jackson Heubner (Watertown, Wis.) landed in 74th place at 31:00.3.

In 77th place was freshman Kyle Diven (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) at 31:17.9.

The Falcons will run again on Nov. 15 at the NCAA Division II North Regional Championships.
