Acrobatics & Tumbling Buried Buffalo State and Adrian

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Concordia Wisconsin acrobatics & tumbling team remained undefeated in the 2025 season with a pair of victories over Adrian and Buffalo State to improve to 3-0 on the year. The Falcons finished with 217.590 points, Buffalo State finished with 182.145 points and Adrian at 169.630 points.

The Falcons posted the highest score in 15 heats on Sunday afternoon and in all six events.

Concordia claimed 34.00 points in the compulsory event to open the day. The pyramid heat finished with 9.30 points.

The Birds added onto the lead with 23.25 points in the acro event.

The lead grew in the pyramid event as the scores continued to grow higher and higher in the event. The synchronized pyramid secured 9.15 points and the open pyramid finished with 9.45 points to finish the pyramid event with 27.45 points.

The Blue and White elevated the lead with 23.25 points in the toss event.

Concordia crushed the competition with 41.300 points in the tumbling event and scored seven points or better in four passes. Senior Ellen Marie Sanders (Joppa, Md.) secured 7.650 points in the six-element pass.

CUW closed the contest with 71.74 points in the team event.

Concordia Wisconsin had season-high scores in eight events, with five coming from the tumbling event.

This is the first 3-0 start for the Falcons since the 2021 season, where the Birds went 4-1. This is the third time in program history that the season started out perfect after three contests, the other the 5-2 2017 season.

Adrian falls to 1-2 on the year and Buffalo State moves to 2-3. The Falcons will return to the Sports Arena on the Buffalo State campus in April for the NCATA Division III Tournament.

The Falcons return to action on Thursday at home against Calvin. The Knights travel across Lake Michigan with a 0-2 record.
