Women's Golf Wins First-Ever Bird Bowl

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team was triumphant in the first-ever Bird Bowl at the Door Creek Golf Course. The Falcons soared to a season-best score of 375 strokes to cruise to victory over Edgewood at 440 strokes.

Senior Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) was the individual champion at 82 strokes on Sunday.

Junior Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) recorded the best collegiate round of her career in second place at 83 strokes.

Senior Paige Zirbel (De Pere, Wis.) also recorded her lowest round of her career at 100 strokes in fifth place.

Freshman Kierra Hahn (Muscatine, Iowa) finished in sixth place on Sunday with 110 strokes.

This is the first first-place finish for the Falcons since the Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Quadrangular on April 29, 2023. This is also the first victory for first-year head coach Wyatt Wilderman.

The Falcons will look to continue to ride the momentum into Tuesday at the Judson Invitational.
