AURORA, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team closed the 2024-25 season on Monday at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Championships. The Falcons had a spring semester surge and finished in ninth place as a team with rounds of 351, 350, 330, and 330 to finish in ninth place with 1361 strokes. Concordia Wisconsin had the sixth-best score of the day on Monday, beating Marian, Benedictine, Edgewood, and Dominican. Aurora defended its team title at 1172 strokes. Jackson Hulsey and Caleb Negley of Aurora were the individual medalists at 293 strokes.
Senior Nico Murgas-Bennett (Hartford, Wis.) had the best round for the Falcons at 80 strokes. He recorded a birdie at No. 14 on Monday. Murgas-Bennett had 163 strokes on the weekend.
Freshman Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) had 82 strokes on Monday and landed a birdie at hole No. 9. Baldus wrapped up the championships in a tie for 32nd place at 339 strokes.
Junior Trevor Wotring (Johnsburg, Ill.) also had a birdie on No. 15 and finished with 83 strokes. Wotring led the Falcons in 30th place at 338 strokes for the NACC Championships.
Freshman Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) sank two birdie putts on Monday and finished with 85 strokes. Smith finished tied for 38th place at 345 strokes.
Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) recorded a round of 88 strokes in the final round. Yaun finished the four-round tournament in 41st place at 350 strokes.
Senior Garrett Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) wrapped up the championship with 90 strokes on Monday. On the weekend, Wilderman finished with 174 strokes.
The Falcons return to action again in the Fall of 2025.
