OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin softball team concluded its amazing 2025 campaign on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament. The Falcons fell short against the 16th-ranked Titans of Wisconsin Oshkosh on Saturday morning, 4-1.
"This was an incredible team," said head coach Megan Aliverti. "I am so thankful for this amazing group of women. They came together and accomplished some extraordinary things. Even though the season is now over, there are so many things that this group should be proud of. They worked hard all season long, and that paid off by winning the NACC regular season title, winning the NACC Tournament, and being one of a few teams to get to compete in the NCAA Tournament and win. I would also like to thank this amazing group of seniors for their leadership and hard work."
The Falcons were the first team on the scoreboard in the second inning. After senior Jasmine Freeze (Bolingbrook, Ill.) started the threat with a double to right field, junior Nora Statz (Helenville, Wis.) scored senior KianaMarie Taccad (Chicago, Ill.) on a single to right field.
The Titans tied the game with an infield single in the second inning on an unearned run.
Oshkosh added another run on a home run in the fourth inning.
Lightning was detected in the area, and the game was halted. Due to a lack of lighting at the stadium, the game was resumed on Saturday morning.
The Black and Gold added two more runs in the fifth inning on a double into the gap in right field.
The Falcons showed a lot of heart and fought until the very end. Adrianna Martinez started the seventh-inning rally with a single to right field. Sophomore Jenna Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) then doubled to left field. The Titans walked senior Jess Pozezinski (Lake Villa, Ill.) to load the bases, but the comeback was not in the cards for Concordia.
With Friday's 8-3 victory over Central, the senior class of Megan Bloyer, Jess Pozezinski, Jasmine Freeze, KianaMarie Taccad, Adrianna Martinez, and Taylor Jacobson became the winningest class in program history with 133 victories. The class is the only class in program history to appear in three NCAA Division III Tournaments and claim three NACC Tournament titles. This amazing group also won three NACC Regular Season titles and posted 81 conference victories.
The Falcons also reached the 30-win plateau for the fifth time in program history, and the 32 wins are tied for the third-most in program history. CUW finishes the season at 32-13.
Concordia Wisconsin will return to action in the spring of 2026.
