Men’s Golf Improves on Saturday

JANESVILLE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team wrapped up the first tournament of the year on Saturday at the Culver's Edgewood Fall Invitational. The Falcons dropped two strokes from Friday with a round of 313 strokes. The Blue and White finished in 14th place with 628 strokes in the 21-team field. The Spartans of Dubuque cruised to the team title at 564 strokes.

Sophomore Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) finished in 25th place at 150 strokes, recording a round of 78 strokes on Saturday.

Freshman Grant Hamm (Slinger, Wis.) was tied for 59th place at 158 strokes and hit a round of 80 strokes in round two.

Sophomore Dylan Smith (Amherst, Wis.) shaved five strokes off from Friday with a round of 77 on Saturday to finish tied for 64th place at 159 strokes.

Senior Tyler Yaun (Rockton, Ill.) improved by four strokes from Friday at 79 strokes on Saturday to finish in 78th place at 162 strokes.

Freshman Jack MacGillis (Plymouth, Wis.) had the biggest improvement for Concordia on Saturday with 70 strokes on Saturday. He finished the tournament in 92nd place at 167 strokes.

The Falcons will be back in action on Monday against MSOE in the Battle of I-43.
