Women’s Golf Jumps a Spot at Carthage

STRURTEVANT, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team ended the weekend on a high note at the Carthage Firebird Fall Classic. The Falcons jumped a spot from Friday to finish in 14th place at 734 strokes. The Falcons dropped 20 strokes from Friday at 357 strokes. The Spartans of Aurora took the team title on Saturday.

Senior Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) had a 24-stroke improvement on Saturday to record a round of 76 strokes. She finished 60th at 176 strokes on the weekend.

Freshman Alexa Cour (Rome, Wis.) finished in 66th place at 179 strokes after a round of 90 on Saturday.

Senior Paige Zirbel De Pere, Wis.) improved four strokes from Friday with a round of 91 on day two to finish in 72nd place at 186 strokes.

Junior Ava Stortz (Slinger, Wis.) recorded 100 strokes on Saturday and wrapped up play in 79th place at 193 strokes.

Sophomore Kierra Hahn (Muscatine, Iowa) rounded out the flock in 90th place at 235 strokes with 118 strokes on Saturday.

The Falcons return to play on Wednesday at the Judson Fall Invitational.
