MEQUON, Wis. – It was another stellar day for the Concordia Wisconsin men's cross country program. The Falcons hosted the 33rd Annual Ken Weidt Classic on Saturday and placed second as a team with 62 points. The Vikings of Lawrence claimed the team title with 24 points.
Junior Isaiah Lubner (Campbellsport, Wis.) soared to the individual title with a career-best time with a winning time of 25:54.5. Martin Erl was in second place at 26:28.9.
Sophomore Jonah Slavik (Muskego, Wis.) snagged a career-best time in fourth place at 26:48.3.
In 18th place was junior Mason Everts (Saukville, Wis.) with a time of 28:23.5, just edging out senior Preston Meier (Owatonna, Minn.) in 19th place at 28:23.6.
Freshman Liam Wielert (Crown Point, Ind.) crossed the finish line at 29:40.4 in 34th place.
In 38th place was freshman Carter Bonlender (Eldorado, Wis.) at 30:01.4.
Freshman Gabriel Baker (Stockton, Calif.) brought home 51st place at 31:01.6.
Junior Riley Johnson (Cedar Lake, Ind.) jogged across the finish line at 31:12.8 in 55th place.
Sophomore Eric Krause (Jackson, Wis.) collected 58th place honors at 31:43.8.
Freshman Jackson Huebner (Watertown, Wis.) rounded out the flock in 65th place at 32:43.2.
The Falcons will run again on Oct. 3 at the Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugold Invite.
