MADISON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's golf team posted an excellent Monday showing at the Edgewood Fall Invite. The Falcons shredded 16 strokes from the Sunday round at 359 strokes. Concordia Wisconsin jumped two spots to finish in ninth place at 734 strokes. Lake Forest rallied to overtake St. Norbert for the team title at 642 for the team title.
Freshman Alexa Cour (Rome, Wis.) collected an amazing day and shaved 20 strokes from Sunday. She posted a career-low round of 79 strokes and landed birdies at holes eight and nine. She finished in 26th place at 171 strokes.
Senior Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) dropped a stroke from Sunday at 92 strokes and finished in 49th place at 185 strokes.
Senior Paige Zirbel (De Pere, Wis.) finished in 51st place at 186 strokes after a round of 96 strokes on Monday.
Junior Ava Stortz (Slinger, Wis.) improved on Monday by eight strokes. She finished in 62nd place at 192 strokes after shooting 92 strokes on Monday.
Freshman Elizabeth Albers (Green Bay, Wis.) finished the two-day tournament in 70th place at 198 strokes to her name and had 101 strokes in the second round.
Sophomore Kierra Hahn (Muscatine, Iowa) had a three-stroke improvement on Monday with a round of 105 and finished in 81st place with 213 strokes.
The Falcons will close the book on the Fall season this weekend at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Golf Championships. The three-round tournament will begin Saturday at the St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois.
