OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's track and field team tuned up for the postseason at the UWO Titan Challenge, hosted by UW-Oshkosh. The meet served as the Falcons' final competition before next weekend's NACC Indoor Championships.
Sophomore
Jacey Read (Carbondale, Colo.) highlighted the day with a victory in the 60-meter dash. After qualifying fifth in prelims (8.07), Read surged to first in the final with a personal-best 7.91—second-fastest in program history. She also placed third in the 200 meters (26.45).
Freshman
Sophia Wunderlich (Greenville, Wis.) delivered a standout all-around performance. She qualified for the 60-meter hurdles final in 9.45, then trimmed her time to a personal-best 9.31 to finish fourth—second in program history. Wunderlich added a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters (26.68, PR) and posted her third PR of the day in the triple jump (11.17m), now third all-time at CUW.
Junior
Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) captured the 3,000 meters in a personal-best 9:56.69, her first sub-10:00 performance and the No. 2 mark in program history.
In middle-distance events, senior
Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) placed fifth in the 800 meters (2:18.36), while senior
Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) matched that placement in the mile (5:16.88).
Junior
Emma Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) scored in two events, taking eighth in the 60-meter hurdles final (9.62) and sixth in the high jump (1.49m).
In throws, junior
Paige Schreiber (Dousman, Wis.) finished 12th in the shot put (10.62m), and classmate
Bryanna Mursch (Grafton, Wis.) placed 10th in the weight throw (13.37m).
CUW now turns its focus to the NACC Indoor Championships, set for Feb. 27–28 at Ripon College inside the Willmore Center.
