TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's track and field team opened the 2025 outdoor season by capturing the team title at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invite on Saturday. The Falcons totaled 161.5 points, edging second-place DePauw by three points. The Royal Blue and Grey recorded 20 top-three finishes, including four event victories.
In the sprints, freshman
Isabella Albert (Juneau, Wis.) placed eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.03. In the 200 meters, sophomore
Jacey Read (Carbondale, Colo.) finished third in 26.01, while Albert followed close behind in 26.57 to set a new personal record. Freshman
Adalin Nodolf (Ripon, Wis.) also competed in the 400 meters, finishing in 1:03.36.
In the hurdles, junior
Emma Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.57. Junior
Olivia Ebel (Mt. Clemens, Mich.) finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 1:10.49.
Junior
Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) posted a personal-best time of 5:34.81 to finish seventh in the 1,500 meters.
In the 5,000 meters, senior
Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) claimed first place with a time of 19:06.05. Junior
Sydney Lechisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) also competed in the event, placing ninth in 21:20.30.
The Falcons' 4x100-meter relay team of Albert, freshman
Sophia Wunderlich (Greenville, Wis.), freshman
Lydia Boehlke (High Ridge, Mo.), and Read finished second with a time of 50.54.
In the field events, CUW had a strong showing in the high jump with four Falcons placing in the top five. Eilertson won the event after clearing 1.49 meters, while Read finished second at 1.46 meters. Boehlke and junior
Ashley Burk (Watertown, Wis.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, each clearing 1.40 meters.
Sophomore
Amiyah Jackson (Beaver Dam, Wis.) placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.82 meters on her fifth attempt, while Wunderlich finished third at 10.74 meters.
Senior
Kate Kotula (Wyomissing, Pa.) competed in both the long jump and pole vault. She placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 4.48 meters before winning the pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 3.30 meters. Junior
Caitlyn Weitzel (Fallston, Md.) also cleared 3.30 meters in the pole vault to tie for third.
Junior
Paige Schreiber (Dousman, Wis.) led the Falcon throwers with two top-three finishes. She placed third in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 30.60 meters before winning the shot put with a mark of 10.76 meters on her final attempt. Sophomore
Makenna Herbrand (Fond du Lac, Wis.) finished second in the discus with a personal-best throw of 32.26 meters. In the hammer throw, junior
Morgan Feuker (Mount Pleasant, Wis.) placed second with a personal-best mark of 38.06 meters on her fourth attempt, while Herbrand finished fourth with a throw of 35.66 meters.
The Falcons return to action next weekend at North Central College's First Chance Invite. The two-day meet begins Friday, March 27, in Naperville, Illinois.
