NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the North Central College First Chance Invite on Saturday with several strong performances and personal-best marks.
Senior
Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) followed up her victory in the 1500m on Friday with a second-place finish in the 800m, completing the race in 2:22.60.
Sophomore
Jacey Read (Carbondale, Colo.) and junior
Olivia Ebel (Mt. Clemens, Mich.) each recorded seventh-place finishes in their respective events. Read clocked a time of 13.04 in the 100m dash, while Ebel finished the 400m in 1:13.89.
In the open 400m, freshman
Adalin Nodolf (Ripon, Wis.) placed eighth with a personal-record time of 1:02.18. Freshman
Sophia Wunderlich (Greenville, Wis.) also recorded a personal best in the 100m hurdles, finishing in 16.25. The freshman later claimed a first-place finish in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 11.06m.
In the pole vault, senior
Kate Kotula (Wyomissing, Pa.) cleared a personal-best height of 3.37m to place third. Junior
Caitlyn Weitzel (Fallston, Md.) recorded a season-best mark of 3.22m, finishing sixth in the event.
Sophomore
Madysen Gonzagowski (Madison, Wis.) added another personal-best performance for the Falcons, placing 12th in the shot put with a mark of 10.54m.
The Falcons also earned a podium finish in the 4x100m relay. The team of freshman
Lydia Boehlke (High Ridge, Mo.), Wunderlich, junior
Emma Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.), and Read placed third with a time of 50.31.

DISTANCE FLING
Senior
Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) led the Falcons' distance squad with a third-place finish in the 1500m. The senior was one of four runners to break the five-minute mark, crossing the line in 4:55.39, a new personal record.
Junior
Sydney Lechisin (Turtle Lake, Wis.) also competed in the event and recorded a personal best. She finished 24th with a time of 5:37.95.
In the 5000m, junior
Abigail Lange (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) cracked the top ten with a seventh-place finish. Lang completed the race in 19:03.95, setting a new personal best.
Junior
Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) also recorded a personal record in the 5k, finishing 20th with a time of 20:06.50.
FIRST CHANCE INVITE
In the javelin throw, sophomore
Amiyah Jackson (Beaver Dam, Wis.) placed fifth with a mark of 32.56m, while junior Paige Shreiber (Dousman, Wis.) followed in seventh with a throw of 30.56m.
Junior
Morgan Feuker (Mount Pleasant, Wis.) and sophomore
Makenna Herbrand (Fond du Lac, Wis.) each set new personal records in the hammer throw, finishing seventh and ninth, respectively. Feuker recorded a mark of 39.13m, while Herbrand followed at 37.03m.
Herbrand also competed in the discus, placing 10th with a throw of 29.24m.
The Falcons return to action Thursday at the Green & White Invite, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran.
