ORLANDO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team had its even-match win streak come to an end on Tuesday. The Falcons were topped by Trine, 5-2, to move to 7-2 on the year.
The team of sophomore Ryan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) and freshman Renan Botelho (Itatiba, Brazil) cruised to a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Trine won the doubles point with a pair of 6-2 victories.
Freshman Murilo Zeni (Curitiba, Brazil) picked up a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Sammy Yin at No. 2 singles.
Three matches went to the a third-set tiebreaker on Tuesday.
Junior Renan Revite (São Bernardo do campo, Brazil) rallied to defeat Andrew Spirrson at No. 3 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
The Falcons will face North Carolina A&T on Wednesday.
