BELOIT, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's track and field team delivered a strong showing Friday night, competing under the lights at the Beloit Relays while also sending distance runners to the UW-Platteville Invitational. The Falcons placed second in the team standings at Beloit with 166.50 points, finishing behind Carroll (233.50).
UW-PLATTEVILLE INVITATIONAL
Four Falcons competed in a loaded 5,000-meter field featuring 197 athletes across all three NCAA divisions.
Senior
Ainara Sainz de Rozas (Madrid, Spain) made a statement in her season debut. The senior, returning after a fourth-place finish at last year's NCAA Division III Championships, won the event in 16:17.01 against a field that included Division I competition. Her time not only broke her own program record set at nationals last season but also positions her at the top of Division III by a margin of 16 seconds based on current results.
Junior
Emma Ahrens (Stephens City, Va.) followed with an impressive performance in the sixth heat, placing second in a photo finish with a time of 16:57.92—just 0.39 seconds off the lead. The junior finished 13th overall, set a new personal best by over 15 seconds, and recorded the third-fastest 5K time in program history.
Senior
Melanie Arvis (Berwyn, Ill.) clocked 18:49.63 to finish ninth in her heat and 142nd overall, while junior
Mikayla Becker (Plantation, Fla.) posted a time of 19:39.59, placing 16th in her heat and 181st overall.

Junior
Emma Eilertson (Mukwonago, Wis.) opened the meet on the track with a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, crossing in 16.40.
Sophomore
Jacey Read (Carbondale, Colo.) highlighted the sprints with a first-place finish in the 100 meters, edging her competition in a photo finish with a time of 12.78. Freshman
Adalin Nodolf (Ripon, Wis.) added points with an eighth-place finish (13.61).
Senior
Danielle Van Grinsven (Appleton, Wis.) continued the momentum with a dominant win in the 800 meters, finishing in 2:22.50—nearly three seconds ahead of the field. Nodolf also competed in the event, placing seventh (2:40.78).
In the 400-meter hurdles, freshman
Callynn Strausser (Sheboygan, Wis.) took fourth with a time of 1:17.65.
The Falcons had a strong showing in the high jump, placing second through fourth. Freshman
Lydia Boehlke (High Ridge, Mo.) and junior
Ashley Burk (Watertown, Wis.) both cleared 1.45 meters, with Boehlke securing third on fewer attempts and Burk finishing fourth. Read also contributed with a fourth-place finish after clearing 1.50 meters.
In the pole vault, junior
Caitlyn Weitzel (Fallston, Md.) placed second with a clearance of 3.25 meters, while senior
Kate Kotula (Wyomissing, Pa.) tied for third at 3.10 meters.
Boehlke added a fourth-place finish in the long jump (4.39 meters), while freshman
Jaden Gray took sixth (3.77 meters). Kotula recorded a strong second-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.54 meters.
In the throwing events, Sophomore
Makenna Herbrand (Fond du Lac, Wis.) led the way with a second-place finish in the shot put (10.65 meters), along with a third-place finish in the discus (32.38 meters) and another runner-up finish in the hammer throw (37.81 meters). Junior
Morgan Feuker (Mount Pleasant, Wis.) claimed the hammer throw title with a mark of 38.15 meters and added fifth-place finishes in both the discus (26.90 meters) and javelin (26.43 meters).
The Falcons will return to action at Augustana College's Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Illinois. The two-day event is scheduled to begin Friday, April 17, and conclude Saturday, April 18.
