CHICAGO - The Concordia Wisconsin men's tennis team had another great campaign come to an end on Friday night. The Falcons fought hard in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Semifinals on Friday night, but the top-seeded Scarlet Hawks advanced with a 4-0 victory.
The Hawks opened the evening with victories on courts two and three to claim the doubles point.
IIT secured the victory with wins at No. 4, 3 and 2 singles on Friday night.
Freshman Renan Botelho (Itatiba, Brazil) won the first set at No. 5 singles, 7-6 (5).
Sophomore Hayden Latus (Waukesha, Wis.) battled in the first set, but fell in a tiebreaker, 5-7.
The Falcons finish the year at 13-7.
IIT advances to the NACC Tournament Finals on Sunday and will face MSOE in the championship.
