Softball Wins at Wisconsin Lutheran

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin softball team wrapped up the road portion of the 2026 schedule on Friday afternoon on a cold day at Wisconsin Lutheran. The Concordia bats stayed warm as the Falcons cruised to a 10-1 and 8-6 sweep of Wisconsin Lutheran. The victories send the Falcons to 25-13 on the season and to 16-6 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

Senior Maggie Plahmer (Slinger, Wis.) started the morning with her graduation and started the game with a missile to shortstop that scored junior Jenna Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) in the first inning.

Sophomore Anya Weiler (Hudson, Wis.) then scored Plahmer when she crushed a triple into rge gap in right-center field.

The Warriors scored their lone run on a sacrifice fly in the third inning,

The Falcons responded with four runs of their own in the fourth inning,

Jenna Shadoski started the scoring spree with a single up the middle, scoring junior Jenna Lischka (Manitowoc, Wis.).

A senior Nora Statz (Helenville, Wis.) single to right field allowed senior Julia Moker (Richfield, Wis.) to score.

Maggie Plahmer struck again with a double into the gap in left-center scoring senior Rylie DuVal (Elgin, Ill.).

The Warriors had a runner at third base in the fourth inning but junior Lydia Trudell (New Berlin, Wis.) threw out a runner at second to end the inning.

In the fifth inning, Julia Moker scorched a ball to third base and freshman Faith Keiper (Tomball, Texas) scored.

Jenna Shadoski was wisely walked with the bases loaded and Jenna Lischka trotted home.

Rylie DuVal grounded out to second base, but it was good enough to close the scoring with sophomore Natalie Kinney (Roscoe, Ill.) scoring.

Faith Keiper kept the Warrior bats ice cold with only four hits against and seven strikeouts in the victory.

Jenna Shadoski was a star, per usual with a game-high three hits and a stolen base.

The Falcons jumped on the Warriors early with a Nora Statz single to center field the plated Jenna Shadoski in the first inning.

Anya Weiler added Nora Statz to the scoreboard with a spicy shot to shortstop.

Junior Isa Bruno (Chicago, Ill.) kept the train moving with a single to center field to send in Rylie DuVal.

Junior Kaitlyn Way (Blaine, Minn.) elevated the lead to 4-0 in the first inning with a sacrifice fly to left field, deep enough to score Anya Weiler.

In the second inning the troubles at shortstop continued for the Green and White and Jenna Shadoski scored.

The Falcons added three more runs in the third inning.

Junior Moker sliced a single through the left side of the infield and Kaitlyn Way raced home.

Moker then scored when Nora Statz smacked a single to right field.

Rylie DuVal closed the Concordia scoring with a single to right field, scoring Jenna Shadoski.

The Warriors, fighting for their postseason lives rallied for two runs in the fifth inning and four runs in the sixth, but it was not enough.

Junior Emma Shellstrom (San Diego, Calif.) earned her 10th victory of the year and had two strikeouts in the start. Junior Kylie Strupp (Slinger, Wis.) had two strikeouts in an inning pitched and Faith Keiper earned the save and had a strikeout in a 1-2-3 inning.  

The Falcons host MSOE in the regular season finale on Saturday. Concordia can finish anywhere from second to sixth place, depending on the weekend results.
