Women’s Cross Country Places Fourth at Ken Weidt Classic

MEQUON, Wis. — The Concordia University Wisconsin women's cross country team turned in a solid performance on Saturday, led by a top-20 finish from Abigail Lange at the Ken Weidt Classic hosted by the Concordia Falcons. As a team the Falcons placed fourth, scoring 120 points.  
 
Lange paced the Falcons with a 17th-place finish, crossing the finish line in 25:28.2. Abigail Poehlman followed in 24th place with a time of 26:11.1, while Bailee Schlander finished 30th in 26:59.8. 
 
Drew Robison continued the Falcons' strong run through the field, placing 33rd in 27:05.7. Mckenzie Murphy followed closely in 36th at 27:13.0, while Jane Becker finished 39th with a time of 27:36.2. 
 
Concordia continued to show its depth as Elizabeth Melchi placed 47th in 28:29.6, followed by Mikayla Becker in 54th at 28:50.7. Natalie Becker crossed the line 57th with a time of 29:20.6. 
 
Sydney Leschisin finished 63rd in 30:00.0, while Raine Carmody placed 67th in 30:36.0. Samantha Blankenship finished 75th in 32:39.6, and Antonia Petropoulos rounded out the Concordia competitors in 76th with a time of 32:29.6. 
 
Lange's top-20 finish highlighted the Falcons' day, while Concordia's depth throughout the field provided plenty of positives as the team continues its season. 
 
The Falcons will return to action at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday September 19 at 10 am.
