Men's Golf Sits 12th After Round 1 at Twin Ports Collegiate

SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin men's golf team traveled to Superior, Wisconsin on Friday to compete in the 8th Annual Twin Ports Collegiate at Nemadji Golf Course, a two-day tournament hosted by UW-Superior.

The Falcons opened the first round of the tournament in 12th place, posting a team score of 324 (+36). Bethany Lutheran and UW-Superior were tied atop the leaderboard after the first round, while Macalester and Northwestern-St. Paul tied for third.

Junior Dylan Smith (Amhurst, Wis.) led the Falcons with a round-one score of 77 (+5), tying for 17th place.

Junior Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) followed up with a round-one score of 79 (+7) to tie for 27th place.

Sophomore Jack MacGillis (Plymouth, Wis.) shot a 83 (+11) in round one, tying for 65th place.

Sophomore Grant Hamm (Slinger, Wis.) recorded a score of 85 (+13) in the first round to tie for 79th place.

Freshman Aaron Federwisch (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) posted an 86 (+14) in round one, tying for 86th place.

Junior Tyler Klett (Paw Paw, Mich.) rounded out the Falcons with a score of 90 (+18) to tie for 94th place.

Concordia returns to Nemadji Golf Course on Saturday for round two with tee times to be announced.
