Women's Golf Tied for Ninth After Day 1 at Twin Ports Collegiate

SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Concordia University Wisconsin women's golf team traveled to Superior, Wisconsin on Friday to compete in the 8th Annual Twin Ports Collegiate at Nemadji Golf Course, a two-day tournament hosted by UW-Superior.

The Falcons opened the first round of the tournament tied for 9th place, posting a team score of 369 (+85). UW-Eau Claire set the pace atop the leaderboard, while Northwestern-St. Paul and UW-Superior finished in second and third, respectively.

Sophomore Lexi Cour (Rome, Wis.) paced the Falcons with a round-one score of 81 (+10), tying for 16th place.

Sophomore Elizabeth Albers (Green Bay, Wis.) followed up with a score of 93 (+22) in the first round, tying for 47th place.

Junior Kierra Hahn (Muscatine, Iowa) posted a round-one score of 97 (+26) to tie for 58th place.

Freshman Lauren Boon (Marshfield, Wis.) shot a 98 (+27) in the first round, finishing in 60th place.

Freshman Annika Lechner (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) recorded a first-round score of 102 (+31), tying for 61st place.

Senior Ava Stortz (Slinger, Wis.) followed up the Falcons with a round-one score of 109 (+38) to finish in 74th place.

Concordia returns to Nemadji Golf Course on Saturday for round two with tee times to be announced.
