Men's Golf Tied for 15th After Round 1 at Highland Championship

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Concordia men's golf team traveled to Rock Island, Ill. on Saturday to compete in the 2026 Highland Championship at Highland Springs Golf Course, a two-day tournament hosted by Augustana College.

The Falcons opened the first round of the tournament tied for 15th place, posting a team score of 472 (+22). Augustana's A team set the pace atop the leaderboard, with Augustana's B team and UW-Eau Claire finishing in second and third, respectively.

Sophomore Grant Hamm (Slinger, Wis.) led the way for Concordia with 72 strokes (+3) to tie for 39th place.

Junior Dylan Smith (Amhurst, Wis.) followed up with a score of 77 strokes (+5) to tie for 55th place.

Sophomore Jack MacGillis (Plymouth, Wis.) tied for 70th place, posting a score of 78 strokes (+6).

Junior Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) recorded a score of 80 strokes (+8) to tie for 90th place.

Freshman Aaron Federwisch (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) tied for 109th place with 84 strokes (+12).

Junior Logan Mayer (Stevens Point, Wis.) rounded out the Falcons, tying for 70th place with 78 strokes (+6).

Concordia returns to Highland Springs Golf Course on Sunday for round two with tee-times to be announced.
