Birds Place 17th at Highland Championships

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – On the final day of play, the Concordia Wisconsin men's golf team finished in 17th place with a team score of 946 strokes (+49) at the Highland Championships, hosted by Augustana College. UW-Eau Claire and Augustana's B team tied for the top spot, while Augustana's A team secured third place, respectively.

Sophomore Grant Hamm (Slinger, Wis.) paced the Falcons on day two with a final round of of 77 strokes (+5) for a total score of 152 (+8), tying for 56th place overall.

Junior Logan Mayer (Stevens Point, Wis.) followed up with a final round score of 76 (+4) and a total score of 154 (+10) to tie for 72nd place.

Junior Ray Baldus (Mayville, Wis.) shot a 75 (+3) in the final round and a tournament total of 155 (+11) to tie for 75th place overall.

Sophomore Jack MacGillis (Plymouth, Wis.) posted a round-two score of 81 strokes (+9) and total score of 159 strokes (+15), as he tied for 97th place.

Junior Dylan Smith (Amhurst, Wis.) shot an 83 (+11) in round two for a tournament total of 160 (+16), tying for 99th place.

Freshman Aaron Federwisch (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) rounded out the Birds with a score of 82 (+10) on day two for a total score of 166 (+22), tying for 114th place.

The Falcons are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 13 as they compete in the WLC Fall Invitational at the Washington County Golf Course.
