Coach Jack Slater completed his third season with Concordia University Wisconsin Esports in 2025, continuing to build upon a growing tradition of competitive excellence across multiple titles.

The 2025 season marked a banner year for the program under Slater’s leadership. The Call of Duty team captured its first-ever National Championship, sweeping Michigan Tech 4-0 in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) finals. Additionally, the Overwatch and Valorant squads secured regional titles, further cementing CUW’s status as a force in collegiate Esports.

In 2024, the Falcons claimed their first Wisconsin Valorant Academic Circuit (WVAC) LAN Tournament championship, earning victories over UW-Stout and UW-Milwaukee en route to the title.

Slater immediately impacted in his first season (2023), guiding the Falcons to their second-ever National Championship in Rainbow Six Siege following a victory over Murray State.

Slater brings a high-level competitive background to his role, having competed professionally in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive during his early teen years. Over a six-year career, he spent the final three as an in-game leader — a role that shaped his analytical mindset and strategic depth. As the CSGO scene waned, Slater transitioned to Valorant upon its release, quickly achieving Immortal rank. His tactical skillset and sharp mechanical ability translated seamlessly to the new title, solidifying his place in the evolving Esports landscape.

A native of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Slater is a graduate of Cedarburg High School. He is married and the proud father of four children.Â
