Women’s Hockey stung at UW-Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The CUW women's hockey team fell to 0-2-0 with a 5-1 loss on Saturday at UW-Superior.

The Yellow Jackets stung the Falcons with three goals in the first period.

Senior Emily Godwin (London, Ont.) put the Falcons on the board with a power play goal off a pass from sophomore Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.).

UWS added two more goals to take the victory.

Senior Breanna Thomson (St. Marys, Ont.) finished with 34 saves.

The Falcons were outshot on Saturday, 39-23. Senior Sam Lombardi (Ancaster, Ont.) led the flock with five shots.

The CUW penalty kill posted a perfect five-for-five performance.

CUW looks to bounce back on Friday at Gustavus Adolphus.
