AURORA, Ill. – The Spartans of Aurora handed the Falcons their first NACC loss of the season on Saturday to send the Blue and White to 10-2-0 and 6-1-0 in the NACC.

"A tough losstonight," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "Any conference lossis difficult to take, but it makes it easier knowing the personality of the team and the confidence they have in each other. I was so impressed by the tenacity and the fight in the team today. We'll take our lessons from this match and be stronger moving forward."

The Spartans scored the lone goal of the match in the 73rd minute.

Both teams finished with nine shots on goal.

Junior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) notched eighth saves on Saturday.

Junior Alexandra Tomich (Mission Viejo, Calif.) led the Falcons with five shots on goal.

The Falcons look to bounce back on Tuesday against Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
