River Forest, IL
Ryan Middendorf's undefeated booters (5-0-2 in the NAC) may have
gotten more of a challenge than they bargained for from CU-
Chicago (2-4-0) yesterday- hanging on for a 2-1 triumph.
Although CUW dominated first half possession, the score was 0-0
at intermission. Cathy Palese finally found the back of the net
eight minuters into the second half on a one touch goal off a
perfect cross to give the Falcons a lead. When Kelly Sippel added
a goal ten minutes later it appeared Concordia was home free.
A CU-Chicago tally cut the margin in half with 15 minutes
remaining, however, and CUW had to hang on after the momentum
change. The Falcons (7-3-2 overall) host Lake Forest in a
non-conference match Tuesday at 4:30pm.
