Sprinting to a 2-0 halftime lead, the Falcons improved to 2-1-2
with a win over the visiting Yellow Jackets.
Freshmen Kyle Sytsma and Zach Lemler (on a breakaway) both
tallied in the first half and senior Trevor Hess scored shortly
after UW-Superior had cut the deficit in half with fifteen minutes
remaining in the contest.
"Our freshman class really stepped forward today. We needed them
to play big due to injuries to starters. Even the freshmen who came
in off the bench were outstanding. Tyler Harris had his best half
to date and Jim Kroll played intelligently- in addition to Sytsma
and Lemler. Bryce Bartelt, another freshman, also gave us solid
minutes. The freshmen are starting to look like they belong. This
was a solid statement win," praised Tom Saleska.
The Falcons tackle Beloit at 4:00pm at Fitting Field on
Tuesday.
