Joe Cawley's Falcon volleyball squad opened the 2009 season on the road by defeating Concordia-Ann Arbor in 4 games Saturday: 25-23; 25-16; 23-25; and 25-13.

The Ann Arbor match featured a pair of 25-23 nail-biters, one captured by each team. CUW dominated the other two games at the net, however, getting 18 kills from Katie Roessler in the day's opening action. Roessler and Stephanie Boehm combined for 31 kills and had only two errors between them during the match.
