Bouncing back from Tuesday's loss at Lakeland, the Falcons took
care of business on the road with an impressive 79-68 win over
Edgewood.
Concordia (8-8 overall) got a "huge inside effort" from Cory
Stark, playing in place of injured center Kyle Barth. Stark led
Shawn Cassidy's team with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Concordia broke to a 41-30 halftime lead, thanks to 50%
shooting, including 5 of 11 from beyond the arc over the intital 20
minutes.
The Eagles never got closer than six in the second half with the
CUW lead fluctuating between 8 and 15 points for most of the
half.
Skip Newton-Kemp added 14 CUW points on 5-7 shooting and
Mitchell Schneider notched another 13.
"I was proud of how we responded," said Cassidy. "WE controlled
the glass (41-31) and made good decisions."
