Concordia-Seward (15-8) was close to flawless during a textbook
first half, building a 43-28 lead behind 60% shooting on the way to
a 76- 68 win over CUW.
The rangy Nebraskans added an additional 8 of 9 from the charity
stripe while assuming control at the break.
Seward's lead actually grew to as much as 22 points in period
number two before the never-say-die Falcons began clawing away.
Stacey Brunner's troops (12-7) saw the end of their seven game
winning streak and lost point guard Melanie Kulibert to injury
early in the contest but never quit in this game.
Pearl Wallace (16 points) and Brittany Zietlow (13) battled to
the end along with their teammates; getting significant bench
contributions late- especially from Brittney Toles who scored 7
second half points and pulled down 4 rebounds.
