Concordia skated on even terms with UW-Stout last evening, being
outshot just 29-28 in an exciting, fast-paced 2010 opener.
The problem was Stout goaltender Tom Lescovich who turned away
every shot fired his way in a dominating performance.
CUW had seven power play opportunities in the match (compared to
2 for Stout) but failed to connect on any of those one man
advantage situations.
Casey Kirley's goal at 5:07 of the first period was all UW-Stout
would need but the victors added a late score by Matt Morin for
breathing room.
