Concordia (1-7-0) broke a two year drought today with a 4-2 road
win over Finlandia (1-5-0), ending the nation's longest current
winless streak at 37 games.
Trailing 2-1 after two periods, the Falcons got two third period
scores from Graylyn Douglas to overtake the Lions and an empty net
goal in the closing seconds from Russell Johnson to seal the
deal.
Johnson, with a 3 star performance, also asssited on both
Douglas tallies.
Everett Devlin got the win in the nets for CUW as he was credited
with 22 saves.
Concordia's last win before today was February 6, 2009 but the
Falcons have played 6 ties during that span.
