Visiting Carthage lived up to their national Top 10 pre-season
billing with an impressive performance tonight as they handed
Concordia an 86-51 defeat.
The outcome was never in doubt as the visitors raced from a
33-16 halftime lead to a 51-16 advantage over the first five
minutes of the second session.
Carthage was able to work the ball inside and out to the tune of
56% shooting on the evening. That synchronization included 7 of 13
marksmanship from beyond the arc and a whooping 23 assists.
Concordia, conversely, turned the ball over 23 times and shot
just 35% for the game.
Cailee Corcoran led Carthage with 20 points while Tiffany
Hendrickson paced CUW with a dozen.
