Whitewater
Concordia women's soccer(3-5-1) dropped a 2-0 non conference
match at Whitewater last evening.
"After the initial 10 minutes of play (UW-W scored just 7
minutes in) we settled in pretty well and played evenly for the
remainder of the half," said coach Ryan Middendorf.
Whitewater created other opportunities, but "Mary Ryan came up
big again in goal and kept us close", related MIddendorf.
"Midway through the half, their #19 had a tremendous individual
effort and out-dribbled our defense for a score, but I was most
impressed by how we responded.
We continued to press and play with confidence. We created a
couple dangerous chances late in the match but just couldn't put
one away. Despite the loss, we'll come away from this match with
our heads up- having played well and looking forward to conference
matches on Thursday and Saturday," emphasized Middendorf.
