Concordia (7-2 in NAC play) scorched the nets at 51% in handing
previously undefeated Dominican (now 6-1 in the conference) an
89-83 defeat Saturday afternoon.
CUW's usual scoring leaders Tiffany Hendrickson and Katie Luethe
led the way with 19 points apiece, but a host of others came
through in dramatic fashion on both ends of the court.
Point guard Melanie Kulibert had 17 points and a near-flawless
floor game while Becky Gifford (10), Kendall Kerns (9) and Brittany
Toles (8) all shot well from the floor.
Emily Wesley added 5 points on 2-2 shooting off the bench.
Concordia needed all of that as the visiting Stars (11-3
overall) also fired away at a 50% clip and were led by talented
Sarah Budz who topped all scorers with 25.
