Falcon booters edge Aurora 1-0

Box Score: CUW 1, AU 0

Mequon, Wis
. -- Kyle Sytsma (junior, Antioch, Ill.) got the winner with just 12:58 left in regulation off an Alberto Valle (sophomore, Milwaukee, Wis.) touch pass as Concordia University Wisconsin improved to 4-0-0 in the NAC and handed visiting Aurora University (3-1-0) its first conference loss.

Both teams had opportunities off set pieces throughout, but head coach Tom Saleska's team got sweet revenge for a tough 1-0 loss at Aurora last season. That contest was decided on a controversial penalty kick in the closing minutes.

"This was a significant win for us... a great win," praised Saleska. "Maybe those tough early losses taught us something."

The Falcons, who owned a 17-9 shot advantage in this win, host the Lakeland College Muskies in another NAC contest next Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Fitting Field.
Dominican University and MSOE also were victorious today and remain tied with CUW for the league top spot.
