MEQUON,
Wis. - Concordia University Wisconsin's women's basketball
team returns to action on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. when it hosts
UW-River Falls in the home opener inside the R. John Buuck Field
House.
Fans unable to make it to the
game can listen to Matt Menzl's play-by-play radio call while

The Falcons (0-1) are looking
to rebound from a season-opening, 63-55, non-conference road defeat
to Beloit College last Tuesday. CUW led 27-17 in the opening half,
but the Buccaneers 46.7 percent shooting from the field and 19 free
throw makes were too much to overcome. Senior Brittney Toles (South
Beloit, Ill.) led the Falcons with 14 points and a team-high-tying
two steals in 16 minutes of action.
UW-River Falls (2-1) earned its
second victory of the season on Saturday with a 64-53 win over
Luther College. The Falcons charged out to an insurmountable 40-17
halftime lead and never looked back. Alise Holst led UW-RF with a
double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds.
In the only prior meeting
between the two teams, UW-RF downed CUW 71-57 on Dec. 18, 2010 in
Mequon, Wis. The visiting Falcons twice led by double-digits and
used a 43-23 rebounding advantage to earn the win. Sophomore Katie
Luethe (Oshkosh, Wis.) and junior Tiffany Hendrickson (Ingleside,
Ill.) scored 13 and 11 points, respectively, for CUW. Taylor House
led four UW-RF players in double-figures with 24 points on 11-of-17
shooting from the field.
CUW returns to the hardwood on
Saturday for a 2 p.m. matchup against Northern Athletics Conference
rival Edgewood College in the league opener for both teams inside
the R. John Buuck Field House. Menzl will also have the radio call,
along with live video.
