Mequon
On paper Maranatha looked like a good opponent to schedule for
Concordia 1000. The Crusaders brought a 2-12
conference record into Mequon and the falcons sported a 14-0
mark.
When the dust had settled, however, CUW emerged with a
hard-earned 73-66 win in a game that was not decided until the
final minutes.
Luke Doedens (23), Cory Stark (21) and Mitchell Schneider (19)
had good days offensively for CUW but the Crusaders blazed away at
a 50% clip for much of the afternoon and actually led 37-33 at the
break.
Guard Brendan Brown made a personal effort to ruin the Senior
Day festivities by pouring in 25 points while big Josh Stein added
14 for Maranatha.
