Huge first half leads CUW women to win over Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.-  The Concordia Wisconsin defense was smothering during the first twenty minutes as the Falcons (7-5) built a 30 point lead on the way to a 60-36 conquest of Colorado College (2-10) Sunday afternoon in their more than a mile high finale.

It took the hosts almost ten minutes to get their first point of the game and Concordia had built an insurmountable 16-0 lead by that time.

Junior Camille Parsons (Urbana, Ill.) led the way offensively with a 13 point effort after going scorelss the previous evening.  Katie Luethe (Jr./ Oshkosh, Wis.) finished with 12 points on 5-9 shooting.

Parsons, Luethe, and Anna Butler (Jr./ Kewaskum, Wis.) each had three of CUW's 15 steals.

Stacey Brunner-Jones' team shot 41% from the field (24-58) while limiting CC to 35% marksmanship (16-46) and forcing the home team into a whooping 28 turnovers.

Colorado College actually outrebounded the Falcons 39-30.  CUW is off until January 5th when the Falcons host Benedictine.
