MCHA Standings
MEQUON,
Wis. - Still with a chance to make the MCHA playoffs, the
Concordia University Wisconsin men's hockey team will play their
final two games of the regular season this weekend, when they'll
face Marian University in a two-game "home-and-home" series.
The Falcons and Sabres
will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night inside the Ozaukee Ice
Center, where live video (Matt
Menzl on the play-by-play call) and live stats will be
provided for any fans unable to attend. The two teams will meet again at 7:00
p.m. on Saturday night inside the Blue Line Family Ice Center in
Fond du Lac, Wis., where live video and
live stats will be available as well.
CUW (2-18-3, 2-14-2
MCHA) is currently in a two-way tie with Lake Forest College for
the final playoff spot in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey
Association's Southern Division.
Lake Forest plays a
two-game weekend series with Lawrence University this weekend, and
the Falcons must earn more points than the Foresters, who own the
tiebreaker with CUW based on head-to-head results.
Concordia comes into
the final weekend of the regular season after being swept by the
MCHA's top team, Adrian College, last weekend in Adrian, Mich.
Sophomore Dan Shilts
(New Richmond, Wis.) earned a goal and an assist between the two
games against the Bulldogs, while freshman goalie Josh Lehr
(Appleton, Wis.) made 45 saves in Saturday's loss.
Marian (11-8-4, 10-5-3
MCHA) swept a pair of games at home against Northland College last
weekend, scoring four times in both match-ups.
The Sabres have
already clinched their spot in the MCHA postseason, and can still
earn the top seed in the Northern Division.
MU is led by junior
forward Dakota Dubetz, who has scored 11 goals to go with a
team-high 19 assists.
