HILTON HEAD, S.C. - After
dropping their home opener to Otterbein University last week, the
Concordia University Wisconsin's women's lacrosse team traveled to
South Carolina for spring break, but couldn't come away with its
first win of the season.
CUW (0-3) lost 20-5 against Eastern Connecticut State
University (Mass.) on Monday, before falling 17-8 against Ramapo
College (N.J.) on Tuesday.
In the first game against ECSU, freshman Sammi Reiter
(Stillwater, Minn.) continued her strong start to the season by
scoring four goals, with senior Marie Melton (Prior Lake, Minn.)
adding the fourth.
Against Ramapo, the Falcons got more from their
offense, but it wasn't until the second half that the team really
got going. CUW managed just
four shots and two goals in the entire first half of play.
CUW will return home later this week, and will travel
to Rock Island, Ill. to face Augustana College on Saturday at 1
p.m.
