MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin won its second straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match Thursday night at Wisconsin Lutheran, 3-2 (15-25, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 15-5).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons dropped the first set of the match, hitting .061 (9K-7E-33A) compared to the Warriors who hit an impressive .367 (14K-3E-30A).
- CUW would bounce back though and take sets two and three in which they had an impressive 17 kills and a .310 attack percentage in the third set.
- The Warriors won set four but the Falcons would end up winning the tie breaking fifth set in commanding fashion to take the match.
- Overall, CUW finished with a .170 attack percentage compared to WLC who finished with a .120 attack percentage for the match.
- Sophomore Kaily Moegenburg (Plymouth, Wis.) led the Falcons with 12 kills and also added nine digs to her impressive night.
- CUW had three players with nine kills and one player with eight to backup Moegenburg's 12 to help lead them to the victory.
- Freshman Amanda Schultz (North Prairie, Wis.) was sixth on the team in total attacks for the night, but she made the most of her opportunities with nine kills and a team-high .471 attack percentage.
- Freshman Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.) put on an impressive defensive display, leading the team with a career-high 22 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Sophomore Megan Jehlicka (Salem, Wis.) finished with a career-high nine kills on the night.
- The setting tandem of junior Karina Klotz (Hubertus, Wis.) and Sedo continued to shine as they combined for 39 of the team's 47 assists.
- Sedo's career-high 22 digs and 21 assists marks her second double-double of her career.
- Sophomore Alexis Hermes (Trevor, Wis.) was second on the team with a career-high 16 digs while senior Kelsa Rubeck (Eau Claire, Wis.) added 13 digs.
- The Falcons have now won five matches in a row as they enter an eight game home stand starting Saturday September 19.
THE OPPPOSITION
- Andrea Hafemiester finished with a match-high 18 kills on the night. She hit .302 (18K-5E-43A) and also had 12 digs on the night.
- Courtney Pattison led all players 27 assists and also added 13 digs.
- Wisconsin Lutheran had four players finish with double-digit digs led by Megan Wierzbicki who had 17 digs.
- Britney Grulke had her serve going on the night as she led all players with three service aces.
- Wisconsin Lutheran started off with a .367 attack percentage in the first set but then saw their attack percentage decline from every game then on.
